Customer Review: Panasonic 32" TV
This is a great television. The sound is good and most importantly, you can view the screen from wide angles and the picture remains clear. Very few other LCD TVs offer this plus.
Customer Review: Don't Sleep On This HDTV
This is a great T.V. Everybody looks at Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, but Panaonic Is the Leader in Plasma, and there on the upcoming of being the leader of LCDS too. Well thats just my opinion, but they are the leader of plasma televisions.

Porter-cable rn175a 7/8-inch to 1-3/4-inch coil roofing nailer

Best Price Porter Cable RN175A For Sale. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz

Refurb Porter Cable roofing nailer model RN175A comes without a user guide.

Porter-Cable's web site support page link for "search for your manual" redirects to a site called servicenet.

Servicenet is under construction with limited functionality.

Isn't that sweet?

Servicenet's reference to "new user registration link above" can not be implemented because there is no link to new user registration.

A phone calls to Porter Cable's support line does offer the opportunity to leave a recorded message requesting a printed manual be mailed. But how long will it be before the Indonesian lady in the out-sourced fulfillment group deciphers my message, and the document arrives? 1 week? 1 month? Who knows?

The lack of a downloadable manual warrants a one star for this product.

Customer Buzz

I purchased this nail gun based on my previous experience with the quality of Porter-Cable pneumatic tools. Aside from this one I own 4 other Porter-Cable nail guns, I have been very satisfied with all of them.

This nailer is no disappointment. In the time I have owned it I have used it for installing asphalt shingles, tar paper, aluminum drip end, vinyl siding, and vinyl trim pieces. It has performed very well in all instances. It has ample power to drive 1.75" nails flush while performing roofing applications.

The adjustable depth of drive also proves very useful while installing vinyl siding. Setting it to the minimum depth setting allows you to drive the nails into the nailing slots in siding while still leaving the 1/16" gap necessary to allow the siding to expand and contract under changes in temperature.

While using this nailer I have never experienced a jammed nail, it has always performed flawlessly. The only negative I can see in this nail gun is that it does not have marks on the nose to indicate exactly where the nail will be placed. This makes precise placement of the nail slightly difficult. I don't think this is enough of a negative point to reduce this nail gun from its "5 star" status because I very easily solved the problem by making marks of my own with a silver colored permanent marker.

Customer Buzz

Tool showed up the day before it was scheduled for delivery. Cool!

I've ordered refurbished Porter-Cable nail guns before and all have worked flawlessly. Only downside with this one is that it did not come with a case. The other two I've ordered (from different vendors on Amazon) both came with plastic cases. This one was wrapped in bubble wrap. It did have the small bottle of oil with it.

So far, no jams or problems, used on one roof.

Customer Buzz

Was lucky enought to get a new one (i.e. not reconditioned) on Amazon in early June which was being clearanced for just $160 (even had free shipping!). I'm using it on a small project to put cement board siding on my garage.

I've experienced some of the issues with having to finish some nails with hand-nailing, but I'm driving the max length 1-3/4" through a layer of cement. Seems to be less of an issue when well lubricated, but still occurs. Definately works better than the alternative of pre-drilling and hand-nailing. For the price, I'm ahead after this project.

Overall meets expectations.

Customer Buzz

IMPORTANT; PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ABOVE RATING SHOULD BE FIVE STARS INSTEAD OF ONE.

I purchased a refurbished version of this tool approximately ten months ago and have used it on several roofing jobs. In all cases, the unit performed very well and with no misfires. I did use a major brand of nails just to avoid any potential problem that might possibly result from a "unknown" product.

The Porter-Cable nailer is compact, easy to load and lightweight, making for comfortable extended periods of use. I do find myself needing to adjust the depth of drive rather frequently, but I am wondering if that is not necessitated by factors such as variations in the composition of the roof decking and even external temperature fluctuations which can alter the nailing resistance of the shingles. One other factor might just be the fact that being a rather careful worker, I probably checked the depth to which the nails were being driven more often.

Regarding that depth adjustment knob, I discovered an error in the manual which accompanied my tool. In the photograph which proports to show this feature, the trigger is mistakenly labeled as the adjustment knob. The instructions regarding the direction in which the wheeled knob is turned to either increase or decrease the depth to which the nail can be driven is also erroneously reversed.

However this was not a great problem as the various features on the tool are well marked and self explanatory, making for rather effortless use. (I especially appreciated the option of being able to easily select either the single sequential or contact actuation mode.) Additionaly, I have always found Porter=Cable/Delta to run an excellent customer hotline service which has always proven to be an added benefit in case one requires technical assistance.

Customer Buzz

I own 5 different types of air nailers from Bostich, Porter Cable, and Senco and this nailer is by far the best. It is easy to load and use, never jams, reasonably priced, and is not too heavy. In other words it is perfect. It makes those dreadful roofing projects just a little more tolerable.

Customer Buzz

Executive Summary: Just buy it. It works very well!

Story: I started a small project over the Holiday weekend and got way in over my head. I only had a small 160 square foot edition to re-roof. After a three layer tear off, rotted decking and two days of prep work I was ready to give up. I went to Home Depot and purchased the least expensive gun they had (this Porter Cable for $228). I was able to nail 2/3 of the roof in two hours with no issues.

Tech Specs: I used a Porter Cable Dual Stack compressor set at 105 PSI and 100 feet of hose. I set the gun to the shallowest depth drive and it had more than enough force.

Customer Buzz

bought this after the hurricans hit Fl.last year. Have done a half dozzen roofs with it includding my own and some hardee planking and it has worked flawlessly, no jams, concistant drive depth, the guy that had problems with it might have been a compressor problem. The people that I've been roofing with have hitachis and stanley bositches and the inexpensive little porter cable works the best. Also like the new selctable trigger switch, wish all my nail guns had it.

Customer Buzz

I have one of these little nailers - mostly used for roofing sheds. It works good. No complaints. Maybe one nail in 80-100 I'll finish with a light tap with a hammer. That's probably more a ding on the little compressor I use than on the nailer. For what I use it for it works fine. As the man said - It sure beats a hammer.

Customer Buzz

I should preface this review by saying that this is the first nailer that I have owned other than a brad or staple nailer. My exposure to nailers of this size is limited.
I just finished a siding job on a rent house that I own. The siding I used was Hariplank and it called for roofing nails for installation. I paid $249 for this nailer at Lowes.
The good:
- Much better than a hammer!
- No jams whatsoever
- Durable and tough (with the exception of the magazine cover)
The bad:
- Heavy!!! During the middle of my siding project I worked two days on a habitat for humanity project. On that project I used a DeWalt angled framing nailer. The DeWalt was much lighter than the PC. When climbing up and down ladders and on roofs a few pounds is really noticed.
- Inconsistant driving depth. Probably half of the nails stopped 1/4" - 1/2" short of being flush with the siding. When I attempted to adjust the depth some of the nails were impacting too hard so I had to back off the depth again. Maybe this had something to do with the fact that the material was fiber cement rather than wood?
- The magazine cover is made from a very flimsy plastic. It didn't break on me but I imagine that one day it will.
- For the price a carrying/storage case would have been nice.

Porter-cable 330 speed-bloc 1.2 amp 1/4 sheet sander

Best Price Porter Cable 330 Sander For Sale. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz
This is a very heavy constructed piece of equipment. It feels good in your hand, although it feels twice as heavy as my Bosch, which means that you don't have to apply any pressure to sand as the weight of the machine does a good job of that. The vibration is substantially less than my Bosch, but it gets so hot that you can only use it a few minutes before you have to let it cool down for 20 minutes. I tried to use it longer, thinking that it would reach a peak and I could bear that, but that is not the case ,it just keeps getting hotter and hotter and hotter. It would be good for frying eggs, and making coffee.

Customer Buzz
Have been using the 330 for 15 years Yes the same one all this time. I borrowed a new Dewalt random orbit sander to repair the handrails and posts on an old deck. It took less than 15 minutes to return to my old 330 to finish the job. For shier cutting, power and sanding ability nothing I have used in over 30 years of carpentry can match the Porter Cable 330 palm sander when a palm sander is the tool of choice. On the downside the Sticky pad for this sander does not hold up well. The glue on paper tends to tear the pad when removing. I purchased a new pad when I started this rail and post job and a week later I trashed it. For this reason I buy the pads in multiples from Amazon. Hook and loop paper might be a better choice but the H&L paper in 4x4 sheets is not readily available.
I have read many reviews of palm sanders in which the user complains that they have trouble with them when sanding drywall. Palm sanders are defiantly not made for sanding drywall. You would not use a hacksaw for cutting lumber, would you? If you insist on using this type of tool for sanding drywall then expect it to clog and possibly burn up. Use the proper tool for the proper job.

Customer Buzz
My Milwaukee palm sander finally died after years of faithful service, and I replaced it with this Porter-Cable model after reading the reviews. It is quieter than the Milwaukee and a lot easier on the hand because there's not as much vibration transfered to the housing that you grip when you hold it. The placement of the ON/OFF switch is really nice since it's located right where your fingers are as you hold the unit. You don't have to fumble around or look for the switch at all. The only beef I have is the same mentioned by a couple of others. Some have stated this is kinda lame, but I don't think so. Unless you want to spend $6 for 15 sanding sheets, you're going to use a regular old sheet of sandpaper that you rip into four pieces, i.e., you're not going to use adhesive-backed paper. In this case, you have to slip the paper under the clamping mechanism that holds the paper in place. I can't imagine why Porter Cable didn't incorporate the clamp tool mechanism into the sander itself rather than supplying a separate tool. Yeah, you can use a screwdriver, but hey for $100 can't they design a metal arm or finger that can be pushed or pulled to open the jaws of the clamps (like my old Milwaukee)? That's kinda lame.

Customer Buzz
The sander is very heavy, feels like an old time tool... when they built tools with metal! The outer housing is isolated from the metal frame with rubber mounts and trasmits very littel vibration to the hand. It takes some time to get used to the paper clamps but sands flush to a wall on all 4 sides. This is the best palm/finish sander I have ever seen, used, or owned; and I have owned a lot. Also, recieved quickly and as advritized froom tool-king

Customer Buzz
i live in venezuela, and this sander don't sale here, it's realy a very good machine, if you want low noise and excelent perfor buy this sander

Customer Buzz
This is a great little tool, much better than my PC 340k. Just alot more comfortable during long sanding sessions. Built like a tank, vibration free, and no swirl marks. It's definetly worth the few extra dollars it costs over the competition. Other 1/4 sheet sanders just don't compare. Pair this sander with the PC 505 1/2 sheet sander and your finish sanding needs are covered.

Customer Buzz
I loved this sander. then one day it randomly stopped working. I am sending it back to porter-cable... hopefully they will get it back to me quickly. The sander was used in-frequently at best. I guess i just got a lemon
***Update: Turns out it was my fault. i used the sander on drywall and this caused the problem..? I didn't know. Live and learn. Don't use this sander on drywall... apparently that voids the warranty, but they fixed it anyway.

Customer Buzz
I have been doing cabinetry and custom woodowrking for many years and have owned and used many, many pad sanders. For a 1/4 sheet model, this one is the absolute best. I bought my first one 27 years ago and it was still going strong when it was stolen about 4 years ago. Fortunately I bought a second one about 10 yrs ago which is getting plenty of extra use now.
I've melted down a few Makita's and Black & Deckers (they made my hand go numb after 5 minutes use anyway) but this model just keeps on going. Not only smooth, it's extremely durable and easy to do maintenance on (and it lasts the years so you get the chance to).
About that key: I switched my old 330 out years ago to take adhesive backed abrasives and my newer one already has that capability. I never used that key anyway... a screwdriver did a fine job if I did want to used standard sandpaper. That is such a minor thing compared to the superior performance, life, and smoothness you get out of this sander.
After two sanders owned and a handful other 330's used... this is the champ. If you want a bigger sander, blow some pennies on a Porter-Cable 505... it'll last longer than you will!

Customer Buzz
The Speed-bloc is very well built and much quieter than ordinary palm sanders. It does an excellent job and due to it's lower than normal vibration, doesn't put your hand to sleep in the process. This machine is comfortable to grip and the on/off switch is conveniently located. Changing paper is quick and easy (with or without the little tool they provide). The Speed-bloc is an excellent old design that Porter-Cable was smart enough to leave alone.

Customer Buzz
Listen... I have finished furniture for a living, and I have seen so many folks browsing the sanders in home improvement stores, and I am sorry to say this sander is not frequently stocked. Forget about dust collection, the others don't work that well anyway. If you want dust collection, buy a shop-vac. I have been through two of these over the years of VERY heavy use and I have to say they ARE the best. There is NO comparison. These are the ONLY comfortable sander you'll find. Take a look at the others and you'll see... there are no others designed like this one and when you use it for twenty minutes you'll understand why it is so much better. JUST BUY IT! The key to this baby is the way you hold it. All other sanders have to be held from the top and they cramp your hand in a matter of minutes. This sander is so comfortable I guarantee you'll love it. Porter cable has got everyone hands down on this one. It has all replacable parts , and it allows much more control by the grip design than any other, allowing you to NOT mess up your work. The motor brushes are really long allowing a long time of use, and cheap to replace. There aren't any stupid wire retainers that you'll curse at trying to put new paper on. Some guy here was complaining about the little tool that is required to change the paper, and that you'll lose it or something, but actually, all it is, is a screw driver... you've got a spare one of those already, now don't you. This is the only 1/4 sheet sander you should even consider buying. This is the one you want. JUST BUY IT!!!!

Porter-cable 324mag 15 amp 7-1/4-inch circular saw with blade right

Best Price Porter Cable 324MAG. Free Shipping. Buy Now!.

Customer Buzz
I bought this saw with some reservation to replace my existing Porter Cable 347's. Those saws were my favorite and I could no longer find them anywhere. I was pleasantly suprised that the saws power and design did not let me down. It appeared bulky from the pictures but the actual saw gaurds and the such are not intrusive like I thought they would have been.
The basics are the same as the trusty 347. Nice substantial magnesium base, light weight, lots of power etc., but the subtle improvements (angled cut to the base, built-in sawdust deflector, rubber handle, to name a few) are very nice, making this saw a joy to use.
Enjoy.

Customer Buzz
My old Sears circular saw had a base too small to fit on my new EZ Fence saw guide, so I started looking for another one that had an integrated saw dust collection system, blade brake, and laser guide. I only found three saws on the market, Sears, Festool, and Porter Cable even had a dust collection system The Sears version had a laser included, but I figured unnecessary with the guide. It also looked a little "cheap". The Festool was nice, but too expensive. Based on internet recommendations I decided on the Porter Cable 324MAG 7 1/4 inch 15 AMP circular saw.

The saw is nice and light, cutting through 3/4" plywood effortlessly with a new blade. The tool free blade change makes blade changes a snap, but requires a little practice. However, eventually you will have to get a conventional blade bolt from Porter because the blade will loosen up. Porter provides this free under warranty.

The saw dust collection nozzle, interestingly, is on the front of the saw. I suppose this helps capture more dust as the blade is forcing the saw dust up the nozzle as it rotates. The position does take some getting used to, as you have to curve the dust hose around the saw to keep it clear of the cut. You can leave the hose leading out ahead of the saw, but you have to stay more alert to it's position. The dust collector does seem to catch most of the dust, as I had less than one dust pan full after cutting up two full sheets of 3/4" plywood.

I am very pleased with this saw. It works quite well with my saw guide and makes nice cuts in heavy material effortlessly. EZ Guide now has a saw base specifically for this saw.

Customer Buzz
I had been looking to replace my old sidewinder, and found this remanufactured saw to be an unbeatable value. I love the saw and only wish it came stock with a rip guide.

Customer Buzz
I found the Porter-Cable 324MAG Circular Saw to be a great work horse. Plenty of power and light wait for use all day. The quick release feature for the 7-1/4-inch blade makes life easy. The guide and plate are very accurate. I've used many different brands of circular saws but I find this one to be a gem.

Customer Buzz
I have used porter cable saws for thirty years and this saw has been good until I dropped it and cracked the saw guard at the narrow, unreinforced point by the nozzle. It's junk now. I'm amazed that the engineers couldn't have realized this would happen. The saw is practically broken in half and won't cut a straight line for the life of it.

Customer Buzz
I bought this saw to use in cutting plywood sheets and finishing work since my table saw is not very big. This saw is both light and powerful, and has been a workhorse for me. The tool-free adjustment levers are outstanding and easy to set. Likewise the tool-free arbor for quickly changing blades without a wrench.

The Porter Cable "Razor" combination blade is great for framing and such, but I didn't care for the splintering in plywood. So, I bought a Freud TKR303 which is a fantastic blade for finish work.

Overall, the 324 Mag is fantastic and I doubt I'll ever need to buy another circular saw. Heartily recommended.

Customer Buzz
This was the first PC tool that I bought. It is very well designed and I am most pleased with it. The grips are comfortable and stable and the magnesium frame makes it quite handy. I've used it to cut a variety of materials including hard woods, plywood, and softwood, with the occasional unexpected concealed nail thrown in. It just chews through everything as fast as I can push it. The controls are nice and the adjuster for depth is very good, I can really control exactly how deep a cut I get. The case it comes with is a nice bonus and even has a slot to keep the manuals. The quality of this tool has made me a PC fan and I now own 6 different PC power and air tools.

Customer Buzz
I've had this saw for several years, and use it for framing, cutting plywood (and other sheetgoods) construction and destruction.

With a fine tooth blade and a cutting jig, I can cut down sheetgoods too large to easily handle on my table saw. The cuts are straight enough for furniture. With a framing blade, it'll cut 2x4's and plywood as fast as I can push the saw. With a junk blade, I'll go on a roof and cut through ply, tar paper, asphalt shingles and nails.

The dust chute blows the dust anywhere you want (well, most of it) or collects it in a bag.

It's light, powerful and durable. It's a great tool.

Customer Buzz
I love this saw! I looked at the Bosch, Milkwaukee, Dewalt & Makita and settled on this one. It has the best balance of features, power and weight. You can discharge the dust or attach your shop vac to collect it. It's not perfect but it collects 80% of the sawdust, which is great if you have to use it indoors. I also like the tooless blade change and the heavy duty sole plate. A great tool with lots of power {whoa whoa}. I wish the carrying case had storage for a few spare blades but that's my only complaint.

Customer Buzz
I purchased a porter+cable 324mag after having used a skil 5700 for about a month and met with numerous problems (frozen depth adjustment level, wobbling base plate, etc).
The saw is much more solid and stable, it performs flawlessly and is well worth the $129 price I have paid.

I am please with the perfomance of this machine o far. The only problem is
being mounted in a router table you have to keep blowind the sawdust out of the machine very ofting.

Customer Buzz
I have 35 routers. I owned and regulary used 7 Porter Cable routers, including 3ea. 7518s. All of the Porter Cable routers created a chattered result. The collet run-out vibration sometimes caused bits to loosen in the collet while routing. The motor arbors were fine, but all 7ea. 1/2" collets averaged .007" run-out at the top of a 1 1/2 double flutted bit. The bit was turned 180 dgrees and the collets retested at 180 dregrees, but the run-out remained the same. The worst had .015" run-out, so it was thown out. It's a shame the collets were so short and gripped bits so poorly. I'll be replacing them all.

Porter-Cable 7518 Speedmatic 15 Amp 3-1/4 Horsepower Fixed Base 5-Speed Router
VERY GOOD MACHINE I WOULD RECOMED TO ANYONE

Customer Buzz
A very good, powerful router. Good for big bits and heavy cuts. We use this router motor in conjunction with the Bench Dog lift and table to make a "mini shaper" for some special machining. Have bought and installed 5 of these routers. I just use the motor in the lift. I have not used the router on a base free hand. It is heavy. I would reccomend this model more use in a router lift or for a heavy duty operation like sink cutouts or pattern cutting. I think you buy this one for its power. The soft start takes a little getting used to. With the router lift and table you really need the switch Bench Dog makes to mount on their router tables. No way to see the switch on this router when it is upside down in a lift. Bench Dog sells a switch for their router tables that I will try.

Customer Buzz
When it comes to woodworking, Porter-Cable is my choice of tool. This router is another fine example.

Customer Buzz
I recently purchased this router on Amazon; it's my second PC 7518. I have two router tables in my shop and this one will live in the second table. I've had the other one mounted for over 4 years now and it's hasn't missed a beat! This router is a "locomotive" with power to burn. It was built by Porter Cable for a production environment; I'm a hobbyist and expect them to run forever. For a router table application, it's hard to beat, IMHO.

Customer Buzz
This router works beautifully and fits my Jointech Smart Digital router system. Has plenty of power for cabinet doors, jewelry boxes. Superior product.

Customer Buzz
This is a fine router and I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that the speed control switch is a little flimsy. The fit and finish are not up to the old PC standards. I have several older PC tools (a router and two drills), some of which I bought in the late 70's, they were well built and after changing motor brushes and the on/off switchs they work as well as the day I bought them. The construction of this router is not as robust.
I bought this router to use only in a router table, I have a 3 HP Makita plunge router that I like, but didn't need the plunge feature in the router table. Thus far, the PC 7518 has cut like a dream using both large and small bits. I like the "easy out" collet, it is well designed, works as promised and is a great improvement over the old collets.

Customer Buzz
The slow start is a safety feature. Any maladjustment can be detected before the thing gets going too fast. Like any other fine tool, you have to keep it clean, so the blades are set properly. The height adjustment is stable and easy. I replaced the router base with a 10" by 10" see-through 3/4-inch plastic base for more stability, especially for during slot cutting, where any change of plane mis-places the slot and hence the spline, hence the alignment of the boards. The machine is powerful and smooth. I bought it because my friend -- something of a genius in cabinet-making and in almost all other areas -- swore by it. He was right.

Customer Buzz
I bought this router thinking that it would have no problem cutting raised panels based on PC description of the product. When I received the router I tried cutting raised panels in red oak with a 3 1/2" panel cutter, the router stalled and had to be reset. I thought something was wrong with it so I called PC and they sent me a new one. It did the same thing. You'll have to take at least 4 passes and even then chance burning the wood if you use this router. It worked great on all other bits except the large panel raiser, which is why I bought it. I could've spent a whole lot less for a router to use with my smaller bits. When I contacted PC about the problem they informed me that that was the design of the router circuitry to stall if too much load was applied. Having to take 4 passes in red oak is a bit excessive. I've had the router for 2 years and ready to throw it in the drawer and not use it.
